Guest guest
Hi : Please ask your Neurologist to admit for a 24 hour EEG. That way you can rule out two of the epileptic syndromes that are often first diagnosed as autism ( CSWS (Continual Spike Wave During Slow Sleep, and LKS (Landau Kleffner Syndrome.) My daughter had CSWS which presented first as autism and then, finally, as atypical absences which got us in for the EEG. If we had had the foresight sooner, she would have suffered much less loss of skill since an early diagnosis and start on steroids helps these kids recover almost fully. For us it is a long slow climb. I am NOT saying that this is what has, I only want to let parents know that a 24 hour EEG is your right and something that could be helpful in the long run for everyone. The worst (best!) that can happen is that it will be clear and you can rest assured that he has normal absences which are much more easily eradicated. best, Started having seizures Hi Everyone, I took to the neuro and yes, he is now having seizures. His face slapping has gotten worse and he doesn't know his colors and shapes anymore, why? Is it a new supplement I started? Ever since I put him on a detox supplement he has been doing this but we also started him on liver support and hemp milk too. My poor little man. He is going to be six in June. How do I help him? Is there anything to help absent seizures? His behaviors are more aggressive too. If anyone can tell me why and how to support him through this time, please let me know. Thanks so much.
