Guest guest
PS. Forgot to add that I recently added red bell peppers to her diet. Will add green bell peppers tonight. Reaction to No-Fenol? Hello Everyone, I wrote earlier about my daughter getting nauseous and vomiting while taking enzymes containing proteases. On the advice of our DAN! doc, I started giving her No-Fenol before each meal. We've never been able to rule out phenol sensitivities cause the area under her eyes is always red/dark, although the severity comes and goes. No other phenol symptoms. We're also on SCD. Her diet is very limited. If I give her any fruit she becomes a fiend and starts to act kinda drunk (slurring speech, short attention span, worsening eye contact, verbally stimmy...tongue thrust worst...lots of tongue/lip stimms, lack of focus, bloated belly, gas). Her diet consists of puréed chicken with cooked carrots, sea salt, water, olive oil, and home made chicken broth; organic grass-fed ground beef, prosciutto, and avocados. I recently added squash (butternut and acorn) because I felt she wasn't getting enough carbs. Blood tests showed low blood sugar and kidney strain, possibly due to all the protein. The squash had resulted in the above symptoms but I thought the No-Fenol would address the yeast as well as the phenols. Well since starting the No-Fenol and the squash the area under her eyes are red *and* dark, like a bruise. She's really out of it. All the symptoms have come back. She's tongue-thrusting, her focus is bad, eye contact bad, she's talking and singing to herself a lot more than usual, her actions are repetitive. However, there's no bloating or gas. Could this be a yeast flare? Die-off? She's also dropping her naps. She almost passes out in the afternoon but I have to keep her awake to put her to bed around 8. If I let her nap she's up till 11. Any thoughts or advice would be great. Many thanks,
