Guest guest
> My son keeps picking at his fingers and the skin is very dry and actually starting to get like abrasions. His toes are the same way and some are red and look very thin skinned and painful. It seems like extremely dry skin. I would first try increasing the yeast protocol, because it sounds like yeast symptoms http://www.danasview.net/yeast.htm Dana
Guest guest
Are you talking about skin that peels just below the fingernail, and he peels the skin, and it bleeds? Â I've had this all of my life, but have never known what causes it.It only went away after I started on the MB12 and leucovorin.I have never known what causes this.I am guessing it's some sort of deficiency. Guest guest
Yes, it peels and splits there, as well as on the backs of the toes -- the skin actually peels in strips and it can be very painful. It seems like very very dry skin. I have been putting cream on it every night and it seems better. I am also waiting for the results of a urinalysis done to see what foods my son is not digesting (I know all of them) and then maybe once I get him on the right enzyme in the right dose, this will go away....along with many other symptoms! Guest guest
My son had this on his toes for 8 years, he is now 10, we tried every cream out there and even prescription, It was thick peeling skin, that would turn fire red at night after he took a shower, and within 2 days it was caked thick skin again, that hurt and would crack and bleed at times----- and then we learned about yeast and dairy allergy. WE stopped his dairy that helped, but then he daily takes 1000mg biotin, and 5 drops of grapefruit seed extract. And after 3 weeks it was almost gone, he also used to have bad cradle cap, constant sinus infections, and a odd oder from his head. But it all went away after YEARS of western medicine treating doing nothing. Treatment for yeast took care of it... and after 1 full year, it has not returned....
