Guest guest
My DS has Tourettes Syndrome complicated by some ADHD and OCD, plus some mood problems (but he is also starting adolescence, so who knows what is driving this.) He is intolerant of many many supplements--they either increase ticcing (HNI did this) or make him aggressive and weepy. He has done very well on Enzymedica Digest Gold plus Glutenease at meals. I am also in the yeast fight, more on that in a minute I started him on OLE, it was another supplement that he couldnt' tolerate but in the time he was on it, he developed cold sores and a wart, both of which we had not seen. The cold sores were gone within a week, the wart remains. Vitamin C was also not tolerated This made me think that he might have viral issues, so I decided to try 's Virastop protocol. We are up to 6 Virastop and 4 Candidase, divided into 2 doses, per day. It took us about a week and a half to get here. He has been a bit happier, less likely to fall into rages, a bit more able to concentrate. However, his ticcing and OCDish behavior has increased substantially and increases more as I increase the dose. So one issue I have is whether the ticcing will go away after I stop the enzymes or whether it will fail to reverse. The second issue is whether or not both ticcing and OCD are yeast related. This came to a head yesterday when he had a really bad rage attack. I had been trying to alternate GSE (6 drops twice a day) and Biocidin (5 drops twice a day). This was on the Biocidin side, and it sort of appears that either the Biocidin is not sufficiently effective or is not tolerated. This is discouraging because so far, of all the yeast fighters, Biocidin was the only one other than GSE that he could deal with over time. Biotin, garlic, pau d'arco were all busts. So I gave him GSE last night and this morning all was happy again. The advice I'm looking for is should I keep increasing the dose despite the ticcing, and is it OK to just give him GSE for the entire Virastop experiment. Any help is greatly appreciated. Wish there were better street maps in this country of the spectrum! Lynn
