Thank you for posting this. I am so happy it is helping you. It brings tears

to my eyes because I know that feeling of relief and humor. My son was sent to

a behavior school when we were in TX when he was 7 and it really wasn't the

right place for him. Then we were offered a spot in another school in the

district that is for typical kids but has a classroom called the Centralized

Social Skills Classroom. It was beautiful and I had many moments when I was

relieved and laughing and crying all at the same time because it really was

wonderful. People really GOT . Sometimes someone saying just the right

thing or reading something that wraps up the feelings and experiences can give

us a huge boost!

Hoopmann has written other books. One is a story about a little girl with

asperger syndrome. Your daughter might like it. It's called and the

Lacemaker: An Asperger Adventure.
