Guest guest
My 6 year old may FINALLY be getting assessed soon!! The school has been blowing me off for over a year and she's been on a wait list for a private assessment at a neuroscience center (almost 5 hours away)for a good 3 months. They left a message today saying they needed me to call to make the appointment. Woo hoo!! I'm just wondering how I should explain it to my daughter. She is going to be none too pleased to find out the real reason we're going to visit our friends. I'm sure you all know the importance of prepping our children for new experiences, and I'm sure this one will be a whopper for her to digest. Honestly, I'm not even sure what to expect. To anyone who has been through an assessment, can you please give me an idea of what is done an how? I'm told it could take quite a few visits. Did yours? Thanks for being there, guys.
