HI, NEW HERE, NEED HELP!/INFO-LONG

Hello,

I am in a very unique situation I have not seen anywhere before. I

have been attending a " Nationally Recognized " Buisness school

(Portland, OR location)full-time, since May29, 2001. I am 42, a LIFE-

LONG non-smoker, and a person who suffers w/previous mild asthma,

controlled by inhalers. Life was good the first week or two. I

started having trouble gradually, and progressively in severity with

the following symptoms: headache, muscle-aches, muscle-cramps,

confusion, memory-loss, inability to focus clearly on my school work,

worsening asthma syptoms, chronic rhinitis, sinus infections, joint-

pain, and in succession, strep-throat, staph infection, intestinal

infection, and now, a severe bronchial and sinus infection, combined.

All along, I have had moderate to severe fatigue. All these

complaints have been put off to various doctors as " stress " , " cold-

flu " , Etc. (Even had the gall to say it was " in my head!!) I too, put

all this off to stress, but I was not working, just concentrated on

school. I got so sick by late October, that I had to do my schoolwork

at home. I started to feel a little bit better by incriments, and

returned, to a half-time schedule. I had a return of the sypmtom-

clusters, and took a semester off. Lo and behold, other than joint

pain, and some fatigue and confusion, I was almost back to " normal " ,

AND STAYED that way for TWO-MONTH'S!! When I decided to try to finish

up my remaining 2 classes 2 nites a week in late April, within ONE

WEEK I was very sick with EVERY symptom in the cluster!!!That is when

the " AH-HAH's " occured to me. (They are also remodeling, not even

covering or closing off the areas being worked on, have been

painting, using chemicals, etc. This is a 60's 6-story building, no

windows can open, re-circulated air, and of note, several ceiling

tiles in several areas (all near the outer areas near the windows)

that have water stains on them since I have attented.Also, vents are

filthy. I have taken clandestine pictures of key evidence, gone to my

doctor to document my symptom-clusters,and voice my suspicions, as

well as consulting an environmental toxins attorney). My problem is

this: I am not covered by OSHA,(also called DEQ & Health Dept and got

NOWHERE) and I am not covered by any insurance; I have made about 20

calls in the last 2 days trying to find out who governs this

situation,who can do the testing, and how I can get the results. I

have been met with lies, deception, scepticism, and sabotage in

trying to get info.(I can't even get info on who OWNS the building.

NO, I have NOT gone to the school, as they are not to be trusted.(I

was advised to do this very thing.) Finally today, I called a local

news station to try to get help with my suspicians. i expect both the

attorney (who has not taken my case as yet) and the news people to

call. I am prepared with my presentation, and hope to " outreach " to

other's in this school who may be affected (I absolutely KNOW there

are many people there who have complained about symptom clusters as

well, over time like me.)DID I DO THE RIGHT THING???? ANY help is

GREATLY appreciated.
