Try mindware.com. They have a lot of cool science related stuff for kids. My son circled about 20 things he wants from their catalog, lol.SuzanneSent on the Sprint® Now Network from my BlackBerry®From: "Tonya Stallard" <tonya.stallard@...>Sender: Date: Thu, 18 Nov 2010 15:22:05 -0000< >Reply Subject: ( ) Christmas suggestions? Hi All! My 12 1/2 yr. old aspie son LOVES electronics and weather...I am trying to get a unique gift for him that he will LOVE. He has had all of the Snap Circuits (really cool circuits that you put together to make things go and do different things-they go from having 100 projects up to 750)except for the 750 project one, which I am getting for him. I am looking for some sort of weather station or something that he could have fun with-he loves watching the weather channel and storm chasers...he also LOVES the Exterminator-I think b/c of all of the 'facts' about all of the creatures he catches. I would love to get him some sort of book on electronics or computers or something-he HATES to read but if it was something that he wanted to learn about, he may do it. Please let me know if you have any suggestions :) Thanks and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

My son is almost 9 and it sounds like they love the same things! I also plan to

get mine a bigger snap circuit set. I have been watching for a good price on

Amazon. My son has always loved weather. He has watched the weather channel

since preschool and his favorite show lately is Storm Stories, lol! I would

also love to know about weather related gifts. I saw Discovery has a tornado

maker, which he would probably love, just not sure since it seems like it would

get old. My son has also loved the little science kits where you can make snow.

I remember going on a kindergarten field trip to our local science center...when

they were in the " weather room " they would ask ridiculous weather questions

assuming the kids would not know. It was funny cause my son was answering them

all and the guy finally accused me of giving him the answers, lol. I just

replied by telling him my son's favorite channel was the weather channel! Which

reminds me...I have also purchased a membership to our science center...he loves

it there. I plan on giving this to him for his bday...gotta love those Dec

bdays!

With regards to the weather, The Weather Channel has a store site. It's http://store.weather.com/. They also have some videos on "When Weather Changed History". Happy shopping.

My 11 y/o son also loves Mindware. That is all he asked for for Christmas this

year. He wants 3D architectural kits, and circuit kits. He did also ask for

the Mindflex game, where you move objects with your thoughts. He also likes the

Mythbusters kits where you can prove or disprove a myth, and loves the the

Exterminator show!
