Just curious if anyone has had an experience with their Aspie's on celexa. I

personally take celexa for anxiety, which he also has, but not sure about use in

teens. He would need it for anxiety and mood. If anyone has any experience with

this, I'd love to hear input. He's currently on no meds.

Thanks,

Dawn Marie

was on Celexa in 9th and 10th grades to treat his OCD, so he was at a

higher dose due to the OCD, around 50mg. Worked great for him. It did have

him being tired though, he would take naps (though he was never very energetic

prior to Celexa either). Other than that it worked wonders for him, I felt he

made progress in other ways too, or either OCD had just been dragging him down

more than I realized.

Hello!! Thank you for sharing that graduation speech from the young man who has autism.I shared it w/ my son who also just graduated from HS (17yo) and has AS- but was just diagnosed in his junior year of HS. What an inspiration this young man was- what a role model for our DS. I just wanted to ask you what your son's OCD issue is. I'm assuming this is co morbid w/ his AS?? How old is your son now? My son is taking Lexapro as he gets very anxious in social situations. His OCD issue is towards this friendship w/ a 14 yo boy. He constantly texts, IM, X Box live meet w/ him etc etc. This boy(NT) seems to be overwhelmed a times, but still keeps my son as a friend. Just curious what your sons OCD is about. Thanks.VickieFrom: <@...>Subject: ( ) Re: Celexa as mood stabilizer Date: Thursday, June 17, 2010, 5:29 PM
