It looks like I may have to be watching over the shoulder of my mold

remediation job, and that is daunting seeing how i know nothing about

construction, etc.

Question:

I know that it is wrong to paint over a piece of wood that has mold

on it, with KILZ. The wood must be replaced.

If there is a piece of wood in the area that one can't see mold on,

should I get upset if they want to put KILZ on that?

Are " eye-balling " judgments on whether a stud or whatever has mold on

it and needs replacing the accepted way to do these things?

Does " vacuum, sand, and vacuum of exposed framework " sound right?

Yes, can you tell that I have no confidence in getting someone who

will actually do the job right?

Are there web sites that deal with this kind of thing?
