Hi All

Now I am not any expert, but the books tell us that we should rest an

inflamed joint, then once the severe inflammation has wilted, exercise it.

Well I used to do this, rest it for a maxim of three days, before jump

starting it again. Is it possible to do harm through over exercise? Well

coming from one who has calcification, the obvious answer is YES!

What is my exercise regime? Well I wake with 30 kilos of Labrador on me!

Hermes knows that as soon as I flinch, I am awake, so pounces! Trying not to

be licked to death first thing in the morning, is one way of jump starting

the joints! It then takes me between one to one and half hours to " Warm Up " ,

washed, dressed, fed and feed Hermes. Now the winter means no outside grass

mowing, so I tend to concentrate on the tasks in hand.

Unless we are out shopping or I am off for my massage, the day is spent

vacuuming up dogs hair, dusting, cleaning and polishing! I used to play

" Queen " , " I Want to break FREE " , but now I have switched to Cher!

So while manoeuvring the vacuum around the home, the body is jerking to the

music. It keeps you fit, honest!

After that and before I prepare the meal of the day, I take Hermes for her

three mile walk. If it is raining, well we miss the town park due to mud, so

the walk will be reduced to one mile. Then dinner, lots of exercise

stirring, pulling, throwing, before we sit down to eat. Washing up is Moms

chore as I do not like getting the hands too wet in the soapy water. The

evening then is spent usually writing, before fighting Hermes for MY side of

the bed and sleep!

The summer is more exhausting, as there are longer hours and gardening!

Love and God Bless

Gillian
