<<the lady who owns it said that aloe vera was supposed to fight candida.>>

aloe vera is a good thing to take for candida. I buy a gallon of aloe vera gel and then mix it with tea after it has cooled a bit. You can also look into teas that have anti-fungal/antiseptic effects, like Pau d'Arco, fennel seed, etc.

Hi Guys!

I'm new in here. Just want to share my experience about Aloe Vera Juice.

I been drinking it for 1 weeks. It helps my bowel movement 2 to 3 times a day

now. I have an gastric ulcer before and I usually take antacids before meal. But

now, I don't take antacids anymore.

Anybody who knows what more can Aloe Vera benefit for our health.....

Thanks and God Bless you All..

The Many Benefits of Aloe vera

http://aloeessence.com/

There are more than 300 species of Aloe vera, with four of those having

medicinal value. According to British researcher Dr. Atherton, " Aloe

vera's use as an aid to beauty and skin health is certainly not new and

mankind has benefited from its internal and topical effects for at least

4,000 years. "

Most noted for its external benefits, Aloe vera has been used successfully

for a variety of skin conditions including eczema, psoriasis, acne, chronic

itching, skin ulcers, and burns. In addition, aloe can be used internally for

asthma, sinus congestion, arthritis and gastrointestinal disorders like

gastritis, diverticulitis, and inflammatory bowel syndrome.

Acemannan, an active ingredient in aloe, has been shown to be a powerful

immune stimulant providing anti-cancer and anti-viral effects. IN one study,

aloe gel was shown to have direct anti- inflammatory activity. " As well as

being used on it's own, aloe gel had been successfully tested as a

potentiating, biologically active vehicle for hydrocortisone, " according to

author and medical herbalist Rowan Hamilton, M.N.I.M.H.

Some cases of hypersensitivity to aloe have been reported. Some adverse

reaction can be traced to inferior, poor-quality products. While aloe taken

orally on its own can cause severe abdominal cramping, most oral aloe

products contain fennel or other compounds to eliminate cramping.

Wow. Well, yes I can see how that would move the bowels in a powerful way. I

would not have ever thought of taking that much. You have expanded my thinking.

What is the best Aloe Vera to buy?

I bought my aloe vera juice at the local pharmacy, we

have a chain called Rite Aid in my area, and it was 12

dollars for a gallon. I found that putting about 1/3 a

cup of it in apple juice or any other juice completely

disquises the taste. It really does not have a bad

taste, it just taste like a plant. But you would not

even tell you are drinking anything but juice. And I

did notice some results because of it.

Tips in drinking aloe vera:

try to put it in a jigger just like drinking gin.

then you will not notice the taste.

one jigger at a time.

I don't mix it with any juice.

No, but I've read in countless sources that it's helpful in healing cancer.

One of the problems with Aloe is the matter of actual active ingredients in

any one product. I know of one organization that claims it has a 'patented

process' that assures the active ingredients in Aloe are contained whereas,

they claim, most Aloe products simply do not process aloe properly and do

not have the active ingredients. They claim that within 2 hours of the

aloe leaf being cut it begins to lose most of what is needed. Can I

verify this? Hardly.

That would make a lot of sense (though I imagine it's exaggerated).

I've heard several times that (at least for topical use of aloe), it's

best to take an actual aloe " leaf " and squeeze the juice directly onto

one's wound/burn.

I can attest to the use of the actual leaf for burns and how quickly it took

care of the pain and healing of burns. I am fortunate to have aloe

growing right by my front door but, of course, always worry about what

fertilizers or sprays might contaminate it. It's not a perfect world. I

am going to start a plant and keep the aloe in a pot where I can control it

better.

Having a plant or two isn't going to take care of the needs for cancer

patients but perhaps the claim that the glyconutrients contained in Aloe and

other products is important. Some claim there are 8 carbohydrates that are

essential for cell communication. Is that a fact? I certainly don't

know.

I also agree about the claims concerning cut aloe leaves losing potency

are probably being exaggerated and I note the product I was speaking about

is one from a Multi-level marketing firm. That in itself is not

necessarily bad, however, one does need to think it out. Never ending

search huh?

Hi Leonard and Joe,

in Russia, injections of aloe are used to improve overall immunity and

are typically prescribed in the same situations where B-6 and B-12

shots are indicated, often together. Good stuff, but hardly a

stand-alone cancer cure.

It is doubtful if everyone, or even the larger percentage of cancer victims

will be 'cured' by a 'stand alone' product.

There is strong evidence that Laetrile can be helpful yet experts tell us

that it just doesn't work for everyone. I buy into the 'try as much as one

can' in an effort to gain an advantage over Cancer.

However, we must keep searching and learning and at least give those that

seem to be experts their due and listen carefully to what they say.

Perhaps put aside for further thought the advice from well-meaning but

un-informed people that cannot back up their information with anything but

one or two examples of success.

Keep an open mind- just don't let your brains fall out. Joe C.

Have you tried a PubMed search on aloe vera?? There are lots of

peer-reviewed articles on the effects of aloe when you limit the search to

human studies. You can also post your questions at Susun Weed's Wise Woman

Forum at http://www.herbshealing.com/weedforum/default.asp. It's a good

source of info from experienced herbalists that may be able to help. As far

as this company claiming a patented process, I would request a the product

report proving its effectiveness.
