Guest guest
As far as the nail pitting goes, my symptoms started about 6 years ago with my middle finger. Now it has spread to all of my fingers save 3. I have the horizontal ridges you described, as well as the nails themselves pulling away from the skin, extreme thickness, deformed looks tips, and yellowing. I just take a safety pin and dig the gunk (dead skin) out from underneath because the pressure builds up and frankly, it hurts. My only suggestion: nail polish..nail polish..NAIL POLISH I think I have over 70 shades now and it really has helped me cover them. My neck pops alot too. When I studied up on degenerative disc disease I learned that it can occur in the lower spine as well as the base of the neck. That could be what it is. I haven't really had problems with my wrists or other joints popping, but it's possible PA could be attacking my wrist. My left wrist has a " growth " poking out at the top. The doc says he's going to draw some fluid off it when I go back. It's pretty painful and is about the size of a marble. I know that you may be scared about the future, I am too. But I think if you have a good support group (Family, friends, etc) and have a positive outlook that you won't let this beat you, it will get better.
