Hello all,I am a 26 year old with Asperger's, who mostly lurks on this list. I have just finished writing a book about my life, Asperger's, and other disabilities that I have, and I thought that it might be of interest to some people here.

" Common Scents: Adventures in Autism and Chemical

Sensitivity " is a book that intersects disability, ability, life

challenges and travel. The book is at first an account of my two years

spent traveling around the country to find a safe place to live due to

my chemical sensitivity challenges, and at second a look into life with

Asperger's and chemical sensitivity. The book is divided into nine

chapters,  and each chapter focuses on a different city that I have

lived in, from New York to Montana to Oregon and beyond. Through my

experiences in each city, the reader get's a sense of life with

Asperger's and MCS, and the value and struggle of of building

relationships with other people.

Or, as the back of the book describes it, is " The story of a young woman's

search for physical and emotional safety as she journeys through the

mountains of the Cascades, small coastal towns on the Oregon coast, and

out-of the-way towns in upstate New York. Along the way, she

experiences things she would never have dreamed possible had she stayed

in her Maine hometown, and begins to learn the power of human

connection. "
