Guest guest
For several years I've had two little, hard, white bumps under my eye and now there is another on the lid. They're really gross looking--like tiny zits--but they are unpoppable. This week I noticed our 9 yo daughter with Asperger's has gotten a bump under one of her eyes! Well, it's one thing when an old, creaky mommy with glasses has them, but very much another when her cute little girl who needs all the looks she can get to help make up for her oddness gets them! I looked them up online. They are " milia " , cholesterol deposits caused by a lack of essential fatty acids. A couple of websites said they are protein excretions trapped in a skin cell that doesn't have a pore and that, with very clean hands and a sterilized needle, they can be popped. Those same websites said the bumps were caused by injury/bruising to the eye skin. I think the lack of EFAs makes more sense. Does anyone else know anything about them? I asked in a separate topic about particular EFAs and cod liver oil. in TN
