Guest guest
Hi Have you had his hearing tested? My son age 6 repeats nay yayayaya and he say Mom & Dad & PA for his brother Padraig but he is hearing impaired. He loves the loud also and when a law mower comes near his attention is on it. He has moderate to severe hearing loss besides being on the spectrum. If loud gets to your son you may want to think of requesting a FM system for school. This amplifies the sound of the teachers' voice. Because of my son's hearing they used it at school and it has helps. A therapist that works with another boy that is NOT hearing impaired tried using this with the boy and it helped with the attention issue. Helps the kids cancel out the other sounds.... Just an idea. > > Yes, my son does sleep better with someone next to him. He's 4 and a half, btw. We do the hugs and squishes and that sort of thing. But I'll do a bit more, I think. No, he doesn't nap at all unless he's sick. > > Thanks! Guest guest
Yes, his hearing has been tested. It's fine. I do like the idea of trying amplification. He's only 4.5 now, so no school for at least a year, probably 2. Thanks a lot! ----- Receiving the following content ----- From: kfh812 Receiver: Time: 2010-09-15, 07:28:47 Subject: Re: 1 step forward, 2 steps back - For >Hi > >Have you had his hearing tested? > >My son age 6 repeats nay yayayaya and he say Mom & Dad & PA for his brother Padraig but he is hearing impaired.
