Hi-

I don't know that there is just one rotation diet. A rotation diet is typically one in which you eat a food only once every 5th day. So--for example--if you have milk on Monday, you would not again have milk or anything containing milk until Friday.

After all of this talk about rotation diets, I thought I would also re-start a rotation diet. It's been years since I did it. I have a book entitled The Allergy Self-Help Cookbook by Marjorie Hurt , R.N. It's NOT just a cookbook. It has an entire chapter devoted to a diversified rotation diet and her recipes take a rotation diet into account. I've also just purchased a couple of other books by an author named Sally Rockwell, which deal with a rotation diet. I should receive them any day and will let you know if they are helpful, if you are interested.

Good luck!

hi bettie,

i was wondering who your ENT at colomiba is. i live in new york as well.my

son was diagnosed with a c-toma and we have met with a few doctors. my best

recommendation would be to find an MD who has seen alot of c-tomas. you want

someone wiht alot of experience since they're not so common.

Hi Didi,

I have not yet met with any doctor at Columbia. I am waiting for my

ENT to return to NJ from vacation. I have an appt with him on

01/03/05 and he will give me the name of the ENT at Columbia Univ

Hosp. I'll keep you posted. I did find two Dr at columbia on their

website who specialize in C toma surgeries (Dr. Manolidis and Dr.

Storper). I am going to call them tomorrow morning and get some

addl info about their practice. In the meantime, I'm still

researching. Good luck to you and your son!

Hey Tom Hansen, thanks for your input. I'm a little confused as

to the difference between an Otologist and a Neurotologist? Any

clue?

Thanks

Hi Bettie

Welcome to the group

Otologist and neurotologist are pretty much the same. If the doctor is an otologist he is probably also a neurotologist, because the surgery they deal with is so close to the brain, and they specialize in the nerves etc that are in the proximity of the ear. Some are also called "skull base surgeons". So I think they study quite a bit of neurology when they take this specialty.

I'm freaked out by all this " brain " stuff. He has always been sociable and

loveable but lately I have noticed that he will hang with us, whether it's

cooking in the kitchen, watching tv, etc...more rather than just playing w/his

toys in his room. This is a good thing.
