Hi Ken:

I spoke to Sinagra from Property Management who said that there was no

RFP that asked for the inspections, but rather three telephone bids were

conducted. All were all under $5,000 and the average cost of the testing

was $2,000.

Hope this answers your question.

In Massachusetts, this discusses Boston our State Capitol, we have a law about RFP, Request For Proposal. It is to stop the awarding of contracts to friends or special interests. In this case it was not followed.

The issue was many city employees getting very ill from the effects of toxic molds in City Hall. These 3 "TESTS" said they needed to vacuum the rugs more often and to change the air filters. Seems no employ was checked.

Many teachers and children suffer from toxic molds in Boston schools as well. The Mayor knows but nothing is happening. The lid has been clamped down in Boston and across the Country on this issue.

In a building the size of Boston City Hall, I would guess that a bid for toxic mold testing from a Nationally recognized company might be well over the 10 thousand dollar range. If a reputable company charges a few thousand dollars for a 3 bedroom home, just figure the size of City Hall.
