Guest guest
Amino acids have to be taken as a group first....amino acid capsule containing all the amino acids...at the same time add lysonal, and arginine....yes it will clean up plaque in the arteries and build the liver. Test it if you want by checking the pulse on the inside ankle on each foot...(should find it in the soft spot) then check again each week and you will feel the pulse getting stronger. cholesterol I want to thank everyone for their help with my previous inquires. I now have another. I had that blood work done that I had put off for a week because of die off. Can any one think of why my cholesterol would be up? Could it be attributed to the cleanses? Should I now do a liver cleanse or kidney cleanse next? I haven't changed my diet... maybe just eating a little less. I have been doing both the bowel and parasite cleanses. Guest guest
The best source of amino acids is from the fresh green grass juices - kamut/barley/wheat-grass juice. It is always best to get nutrients from whole food sources whenever possible. cholesterol I want to thank everyone for their help with my previous inquires. I now have another. I wanted to share this special story with you, I received a phone call from one of the ladies that I sent one of the babies to, her cancer is not only in remission they could not find any cancer cells at all!!! She said she started with small amounts since it gave her so much energy and this past six months she has been drinking 3 eight ounces a day, as an added bonus she no longer takes her cholesterol medication at all and those tests came out great! Guest guest
I believe the woman was referring to her kombucha colonies as being chubby because sometimes in the fermenting process one ends up with thin babies instead of the opposite. I think it is cute. Anyway, I loved her testimonial at the end. Cheers! Kris Smart is believing only half of what you hear, brilliant is knowing which half to believe. Atlantic1@... Guest guest
With all that healthy eating and exercise, is your HDL high (which it should be!)? My total was 218 last time, but my HDL was 60 which more than makes up for it. How about if you take your Triglycerides and divide them by your HDL? The ratio should be less than 2 ideally and that is one of the best indicators there is. My Tri/HDL was 69/60 = 1.15. Before diet modifications (mostly low-carb with lots of exercise) that ratio was more like 126/34 = 3.7...much worse. Guest guest
, My sister has high cholesterol and is also hypo. My question for you is - have you had your triglycerides or HDL levels done? Her's were very high and along with the high cholesterol was diagnosed with something called dysmetabolic syndrome (AKA syndrome X). It's pretty scary b/c it puts her at high risk for stroke and/or heart attack and she's only 32. I have hypothyroid...been taking armour since february and now i have a cholesterol problem....went to doc yesterday and he put me on lipitor.....10 mg.....my cholesterol is 243.....I never had this problem before.....does anyone else have this also...and what do you do other then meds? susan _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com

Guest guest
I am with you on everything except that Armour has unnatural stuff in it, and why are people " toxic " to Armour? You mean alllergic? Sometimes people need other hormones that work with Armour. They think Armour is the problem when it's not. Guest guest
You might need more Armour, DHEA which cycles into other hormones (and estrogen seems to lower cholesterol) and/or EFAs like flax or cod liver oil. But not lipitor. Guest guest
I don't see what being on thyroid medicine would have to do with cholesterol. I've never had high cholesterol . . . not even before my thyroid problem was diagnosed. Syndrome X is primarily a stress- related disorder, though, so most important would be for 's sister to do as much as possilbe to bring her stress level down. Guest guest
" An estimated 13 million Americans have a thyroid disorder. Nearly half of them may be undiagnosed. Ninety percent of people with diagnosed hypothyroidism have increased cholesterol or triglycerides increasing their risk of heart disease. Studies have shown a direct correlation between the treatment of thyroid disease and the lowering of cholesterol levels. Guest guest
Hi U was recently informed by a Dr that Cholesterol, allergies, asthma, Diabetes type 2 and arthritis we all linked and can be a part of Hypo. Guest guest
Kat, That was an interesting article. I think it would have been even more intersting if the links to the supporting articles weren't dead, as I would have liked to read more. I guess this explains why my endo always orders cholesterol tests for me at every follow up. So far, though, my cholesterol levels have always been in the desirable range. Guest guest
Back in the old days Armour thyroid was THE treatment for high cholesterol, but then high cholesterol was seen as a symptom that one needed thyroid. There are many hypos with high cholesterol, and many women need to use compounded estrogen and DHEA with thyroid med to lower it. Guest guest
Gracia, Do you mean back when Armour thyroid was unstable and couldn't even be depended on as an effective thyroid medication? As for DHEA, it has also been shown to decrease levels of HDL ( " good " ) cholesterol in women, and could increase the risk of heart disease, the leading killer of older women. It has also been shown to increase body fat in women. Guest guest
, hormones work with thyroid, especially T3. Does she get T3, EFAs, progesterone or compounded estrogen? Lipitor won't address the problem just the symptoms. Patient gets sicker. Guest guest
Gracia, I think the info you have on DHEA is probably only for men. It's effects are quite different for men than for women. Only recently have its effects on women been studied. It's that gender bias thing I think. Guest guest
No it's not just men that benefit from dhea--just the dosages are different. You are aware those with autoimmune diseases are low in dhea? > Gracia, > > I think the info you have on DHEA is probably only for men. It's > effects are quite different for men than for women. Guest guest
Not necessarily. I have two autoimmune disorders (Hashimoto's thyroiditis and adenomyosis), but my DHEA levels are not low. This is something that my endocrinologist orders a test for at every follow up. There has been some research that indicates that DHEA could be helpful for lupus, though.
