you must have great genetics after all it all comes down to your genetics some

people can process all that bad fats away and remain healthy- maybe it is your

iodine or maybe it is the natural thyroid you take...

Re: Re: cholesterol

I eat this way!

no actually I don't eat too many eggs.

Gracia

dr. atkins was not advocating only good fats- he was advocating eating bacon,

sausage and red meat which has tons of cholesterol. also he advocated eating

fatty cheeses and unlimited amounts of eggs which also have cholesterol.

he in fact DIED of high cholesterol's effects on the body.

I think it is everybody's responsibility to do some research, on both sides

medical

and natural, and come up with what works for them. If one person for some

reason

does well on two pounds of sugar a day, it doesn't mean someone with diabetes

will do well. Find what works for you and stick to it.

Iodine affects genetic expression supposedly.

I think we all have great genetics, just need a little help here and there to

achieve homeostasis. Allopathic medicine doesn't look at the body this way.

I never said obesity had to be a factor- it is a common factor but there are

plenty of people who have elevated cholesterol and dyslipidemia and clogged

arteries that are thin. they are the ones that are the hardest to convince that

they need to cut back on those saturated fats.

Well she had all kinds of diagnosis' like depression, restless leg syndrome,

glaucoma (that was the most stupid), asthma. What eventually led to her dx

was she started lactating. God had His hand in that since I am the one who

told the doc (we had the same one and I was in there w/1 if my kids) that

her boobs were leaking :) I also told him that the eye doc he sent her to

said she had glaucoma. My sis is an optometrist so we knew that was a lazy

lie. She had a mammogram that came back negative. My sis knew that there

must be a pituitary tumor. She had just had a class and talked about this.

So she went in for a MRI and it was positive. By that time, she had less

than 50% in each eye. It VERY quickly degenerated to the point that they

sped up her surgery date. After surgery, she regained all of her eyesight.

Praise GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, that might put an end to this discussion. I think we have a lot of

reading to do.

VERY interesting. Glad I have put my doctor off regarding using statins on me!

So would you elaborate on that statement. Old studies means we disregard them?

I get

nothing from your statement. Were they proven wrong?
