Guest guest
Hi Jayne >I got a call from the dr that my strep was negative...now I am really confused...< Well if it was anything like I went through. According to my Rheumatologist HERE, I have endured " Monocytosis " aka " Glandular fever " , aka " Kissing Disease " for SEVEN years! I have not check out the Guinness Book of Records, but perhaps I should apply? Jayne sore throats are caused by many things, PA just being one. A Strep looks like you have just eaten " Madera Cake " and the crumbs are stuck in your throat, PUS! You can see them if you shine a torch into your mouth and depress your tongue. If their is no Madera cake, then you have just a sore throat. It could be due to the drugs, central heating in your home, air conditioning, Cigarettes. Swollen glands again can be attributed to infections, PMS, allergies or a simple blocked salivary gland. Yes I had one of those blockages and it is painful. It would be interesting to find out if perhaps you do in fact have Monocytosis? Food for thought? Love and God Bless Gillian
