Guest guest
Ed, are they gong to check you rprostate for cancer? ________________________________ From: Ed Hale <litepilot84@...> Sent: Tuesday, September 29, 2009 3:15:32 PM Subject: Reversal of fortune I just got back from my urologist and he said my prostate is as big as a soft ball and my PSA has risen to 41. I had been on Quercetin Plus from 4-21-08 until 5-9-09 and it brought my PSA down from 125 to >.2 in about a year. I started on three X three and finally reduced it to one every other day. I stopped the Quercetin Plus on 5-09-09 to give myself 60 days of clearing the system to start on testosterone replacement. I started testosterone on 7-20-09 with troches at .2 mg testosterone\ and .8 mg progesterone. By 8-20-09 I had a very sore prostate and stopped the testosterone and tried several things to cut my estrogen down to alleviate the pain. I had testing done 9-10-09 and the testosterone had gone down from 276 to 260 and my estrogen level was up to 177. PSA jumped to 41. I am not convinced that the testosterone did this alone but stopping the Q+ may have been a bigger part. For sure the estrogen level is up very high and the prostate is swollen and the urologist said that the mets have gone to the bone, this being done with only a ten or 15 second DRE. He said one side was out of the capsule. I quizzed the office when I made an appointment and they assured me that the Dr. did TRT. Well he does not. He is classically trained and repeated that EVERYONE knows that testosterone feeds cancer. So much for a DO trained in classic urology. He was more for castration or chemical castration than anything else. I have some Quercetin Plus left from before and ALi Behpour sent me a couple of bottles and I have started back on three X three. I will see what this does for the pain. The doctor would not give me a script for Arimedex but I had previously ordered some from allday and it should arrive soon. After my writing about my friend Warr who warned me about stopping Q+, I seem to have fallen into the same predicament. I was stopped a little over 4 months when the mets came back. Whether it was accellerated by the testosterone or not held in check by an aromatase inhibitor such as Arimidex I don't know. I will get some labs done next week and see where I stand. I'm assuming DRE, means a digital rectal exam... abbreviations or shorthand don't help much in communicating on the internet. He is classically trained and repeated that EVERYONE knows that testosterone feeds cancer. So > much for a DO trained in classic urology. He was more for castration or chemical castration than anything else. Testestosterone doesn't cause cancer, but it certainly does feed an existing cancer. If you've got prostate cancer and your prostate is the size of a softball, then hormone replacement is not what is needed. > Ed Hale Tampa Bay
Guest guest
Now that is up in the air I read a study that showed low Testosterone does not help prostate cancer higher levels do. Here is just on link from a search from this link. http://tinyurl.com/ycvtuvq http://ezinearticles.com/?Testosterone-and-Prostate-Cancer & id=54462 Co-Moderator Phil > From: k0cm <Randy@...> > Subject: Re: Reversal of fortune > > Date: Tuesday, September 29, 2009, 9:44 PM > > > > For sure the estrogen level is up very high and the > prostate is swollen and the urologist said that the > > mets have gone to the bone, this being done with only > a ten or 15 second DRE. Guest guest
I've read that it's not testosterone that causes prostate cancer but rather estrogen. If it were testosterone then most guys in their 20's would be at extremely high risk. What happens later in life to many men, though? They start converting more testosterone to estrogen and their estrogen levels soar. This is a much more likely culprit. > > > > > For sure the estrogen level is up very high and the > > prostate is swollen and the urologist said that the > > > mets have gone to the bone, this being done with only > > a ten or 15 second DRE. Guest guest
Right when you are first conceived we are the Y chromosome (spelling) when the X shows up your a male. But there is a small part of the Y in your prostate this is what is sensitive to Estradiol and how many researches think is the cause of prostate cancer. This is the best way I could put it don't have the studies. (What I also love about this news piece is the fact that the teacher who instigated the hatred against this little boy with autism, was photographed and her identity revealed to the public. It is about time accountability reined in. Perhaps real instances of justice will help prevent repeat of prejudicial treatment perpetuated against vulnerable individuals!) - VM
