Guest guest
Hi! Mark had a lot of nausea and fatigue with the oral dosages of MTX. The side effects were always worst right after the doctor had increased his dosage. Weekends were a waste for him, since he took/takes his medicine on Friday night. Mark now takes his weekly dosage by injection. The doctor told us that the injections were better for the body, because the medicine is absorbed more consistently. With oral MTX, the amount of medicine absorbed depends upon what the patient has or hasn't eaten (or so we were told). Mark has no nausea now with the injections. He still has some fatigue, especially after his dosage is increased. But I would say he may need a nap or two on the weekend, but he can function. Maybe you can try injections. God Bless!
