thank you for writing this!! It is so _very_ true; I just cringe when I

hear of friends who get their doctors to prescribe them for colds or

whatall. The antibiotic-resistant-strains-of-bacteria situation is nearing a

crisis in this country; they've already proved in Finland that, if

doctors back off from prescribing so many antibiotics, resistance of bacterial

infections to antibiotics will decrease, which is to _everybody's_

benefit, including ours.
