Guest guest
Hi all, I am new here. My son, age 5 1/2, has been diagnosed with Asperger's. At least I think he has. I completed a screening form and the nurse called me to tell me the results were " consistent with Asperger's. " The neurologist sent me a letter with the scores from the screening and the bottom of the letter said something to the effect of " should be tested for Asperger's/PDD. " So, we are going back tomorrow for a followup visit and for recommendations. Anything any of you can recommend that I should be asking other than for resources? I plan to ask him to review the screening with us, but I've been reading posts and so many of you have such great insight that I wanted to ask if you had any for me. I have been reading a bunch and he definitely fits the description. We've been treating him with OT and PT for Sensory Processing Disorder since last May. The OT has made a huge difference in the meltdowns. They're virtually non-existent now (knock on wood.) -- McAllisterFB: www.facebook.com/healfrominsideoutTwitter: www.twitter.com/healinginside Blog: http://healingfrominsideout.blogspot.comReiki II practitioner, #1 alternative treatment recommended by Dr. OzHerbal consultations
