Just wanted say that we will stop discussing the idea of burning bad

speddies at the stake. It was just a joke and meant at such, nobody

really would do that, obviously, since it's not done. I think

sometimes there are some parents who grow a darker sense of humor to

deal with the stress. I know I have done that over the years. It's

either laugh or cry. We have had some really bad experiences with

public schools and our boys over the years and we've dealt with some

very evil and rotten people. We have had to file due process 3 times.

My dh works in health care and they often have a dark sense of humor to

deal with what they deal with - very sick people, people who are dying.

Humans are amazing that way - in how they find ways to cope - and I

don't think that's a bad thing at all. ly, I think the people in

special education and teaching should be as outraged as we are by the

ones who abuse the system or who make life worse for kids who have

special needs. I know if that were my job, I would be really ticked

off by people who do it so badly or purposely screw over people. And

there are, sadly, a lot of those types around. I am dealing with two

of them right now with my youngest ds. I think it's easier for people

to ignore the bad ones or make excuses for them than to call them out.

Too bad for us.

But anyway, the conversation needs to stay focused on dealing with

these problems and not on politically correct language. Life is too

short to argue over semantics instead of discussing the problems we all

face. I don't think we should get on to people for how they express

their frustration instead of talking about the real problems being

brought forward. So let's do that!
