Guest guest
I agree with Ricci 100%. The pharmaceutical companies only care about the bottom line. They don't give a damn about saving people's lives in particular, that is not their first calling. Didn't any of you see that awful story in the NY Times the other week about how even though there is treatment for tropical diseases such as sleeping sickness, the pharm. companies refuse to manufacture it because they can't make money off of the poor Africans? God that was absolutely revolting, but that spells out the whole story in a nutshell. Get back into reality people, your thinking is very impratical, maybe you should take some classes over at the business school. --Rose
Guest guest
Rose, What you are saying about drug companies may or may not be true. Drug companies are made up of people and if you can find the right one to work with that is all you need. The philosophy that the bottom line comes first seems to me to be the driving philosophy in most businesses in the United States and it seems to be rare to see any altruism any more. We live in a society where the accumulation of wealth is a much admired goal. Drug companies are a business like any other. They have the money and the expertise to make the drugs that we need available to our children and everyone else's. Picking a fight with the very people who have the power to help us so much does not seem prudent at this time to me. Kathy

Guest guest
Allyson, Hmmm, I have never heard of a saline class action lawsuit that was started against Mentor...can you give us more details? I've heard it often rumored that there may be one someday, but I'm not going to hold my breath. There isn't anything they can offer that would replace lost years of health anyway, but I do find it interesting that some lawyers may still be interested. SOMEDAY we will know the answer as to what is making implants dangerous to the immune system, and that is the day in court I will be waiting for! Patty Class Action Lawsuit Hello ladies,Just an up date since my explant in June. I located a nurse who works for a layer. She is looking into my case and there is a good possiblitiy that I will be added to a class action lawsuit that already has been started against Mentor for their faulty ports of their saline implant devices. Has anyone else heard of any class action lawsuits for this? Dr. Blias' indicated in his report to me that "AT this time their are no class action lawsuits for saline implant" Well this nurse has found that their is. If anyone else has any info. on this let me know. As I will also keep you all posted in case you may be interested in this class action lawsuit.Allyson K.
