Dear Mr. Vice-President;

As you are aware from my many correspondence to you, I have been trying to stop illegal and unsafe construction in America for a decade. Sadly, the Home Builders Associations, whom you are scheduled to speak to on June 6, have a problem with this issue.

It seems that they blame everybody else for this illegal construction but themselves and their members. If they obeyed the laws, this issue would not be a problem. Instead, greed and profits take their interests instead of concern for the safety of their fellow citizens.

The unscrupulous builders prey upon unsuspecting Americans like any thug or common criminal. They look for, or in many instances buy, loopholes from corrupt local, state and federal building inspectors. Sadly, your administration, and others before you, refuse to speak out or try and stop this thievery.

These corrupt builders and government inspectors are responsible for billions of dollars of illegal and unsafe construction. In most instances, it is Federally licensed and insured banks and credit unions that hold the mortgages on these death traps.

What will happen to our Nations economy should we effected and violated homeowners refuse to pay our mortgages on these death traps? How many banks will fail because our Political leaders decided it was more important to accept campaign contributions from some of these groups instead of representing ALL of America?

I was raised that we must all work together as a Nation to help each other. What are your thoughts on this issue? Will you work with us or the corrupt builders and government inspectors that steal from America every day?
