As some of you are aware, I have sent two bills to Congress. Last year I sent my Toxic Mold Protection Act. The purpose is to establish rules and regulations for mold safety. I also hold anybody, insurance companies, builders, realtors and government health and building inspectors legally and financially liable if their actions caused or furthered mold. Nobody has ever done this before.

This bill was given to Senators Hillary Clinton, Joe Lieberman, Trent Lott, Ted Kennedy, Kerry, Tom Harkin, Chuck Hagel, McCain, the President and Vice-President, Congressmen Kennedy, Sununu and Conyers. Sadly for Americans, only the Presidnet and Vice-President have shown interests and told Government Agencies to become involved, EPA and HUD.

I have been told by many that Congress will never hold insurance companies, union members or corrupt government inspectors accountable for anything, including corruption, due to the campaign contributions they receive from many of these groups. I guess after the failure of any response, these campaign issues might be true.

As you can see, I have asked both Democrats and Republicans to help Americans. This is not a political issue and must never become one. Sadly, both political parties have failed America with their silence. During all of my communications with Congress and the Justice Department, dating back over six years, nobody has tried to help Americans.

I filed my first bill, National Building Code standards for America, in 1998 with former Rep. Rick Lazio. I refilled it earlier this year with Congressman Delahunt. As most are aware, I filed my Toxic Mold Law last year in Massachusetts. I also asked most of these same Legislators to file my mold law in their home state as well as in Washington.

For those of you that followed my emails to Congressman Conyers staff asking for a copy of the bill he has been writing for a year, I recently requested, again, a copy of the legislation he wants everybody to support. Again, no legislation is given to me.

I have posted my legislation for everybody to see and have asked anybody to offer suggestions or improvements. This is how effective Legislation is suppose to be created. It seems in Washington, silence is the answer.

I have opened a forum called madashell ( madashell/?yguid=95337182 ). Anybody interested in telling their story of corrupt builders, building inspectors or realtors is welcome to post. I know Melinda Ballard is doing a fine job with those that have problems due to their insurance companies so I do not want to duplicate the good work she is doing. I am also interested in issues of landlord or condo issues with mold or building issues and arbitration issues.

Hopefully, as they say, somebody will listen to us because their is strength in numbers. By the way, to those of you that sent your prayers for my Mom who had a stroke, it seems that the mold has won. We must now place her in a nursing home because we cannot bring her back home with us due to the mold. If not for the mold she could come home. Corrupt builders and government inspectors have done what health problems didn't.
