wondering if can chew with temporary dentures

Just wondering if anyone has/had temporary dentures and was still able

to chew with them. I think I need a tooth or two extracted but I'm

not sure I have the money/energy to go through the process of getting

partial dentures, so I'm wondering if the temp they give me will

suffice for medium-long term. Thanks for your thoughts.

More info if you're interested:

My tooth that is infected is #7, so it's in the front and important

for chewing. Also maybe #10 but I'm not sure. I had the old plastic

fillings drilled out and refilled with supposedly safe plastic by Dr.

's primary recommended dentist in Mexico, in 2007, but the

replacement filling was never real flat next to the tooth - it kind of

had a lip/rim around it - I could feel it with my tongue. So now it's

all black colored, of course. I don't know if the dentist could have

done any better with it, I tend to think so, but what do I know. Also

I wonder because I found out my travelling companion at the time was

saying bad things about me to this same dentist behind my back,

because they were a real jerk, anyway, then this dentist was real

impatient and seemed edgy that day that he put this filling in, so I

wonder if maybe he didn't try so hard to do a good job, I could be

totally wrong though. Also I wonder because this same dentist was

using novocaine on me that just wasn't working, and it was a

nightmare, then he told Dr. that the reason it didn't work is

because I took vitamin C prior to my appointment - which was a lie

because I did not take vitamin C and I told him that very clearly

multiple times. Also, he said a couple mean things to me as well.

And I am the sweetest nicest person and never hurt anyone my whole

life, go figure. Anyhoo, BTW, the other/secondary dentist that Dr.

recommends is awesome, I had some work done by him/them and it

was first class and good vibes all the way, I would never go back to

that " primary " dentist again, but that was just my experience.
