Guest guest
Could somebody please expalin to me how we can support a bill, Conyers Mold Legislation, that has yet to be submitted? I can not understand how we can supoport something we are not allowed to see. As of 5 minutes ago, Congressman Conyers has not submitted any bill on Toxic Mold. This is according to the staff of the US House Clerks Office. Several people checked and found nothing. They even looked in todays hopper and there is nothing. H5010 is the House Appropriations Bill for the Defense department for 2003. I need to see the actual Mold Legilsation after it has been filed. I am not interested in a summary of something not filed. Dr. Lipsey, you have just goven your support to the 2003 Defense Appropriations Bill. Did you really intend to do that? I applaud those that want to see Mold Legislation but I refuse to blindly offer support to something that has yet to be submitted. If somebody has the REAL legislation could you email me a copy? I don't need another copy of the Wish List. Thanks. Guest guest
at NTMC, The FACTS I gave about there being NO Mold Legislation fron Congressman Conyers came directly from the Clerk of the US House of Representatives office and staff. The hopper I mentioned is the bin where all of the Legislation submitted for that day is kept. Also, it is the House Clerks office that gives submitted Legislation its number, not the Congressman. All of these announcements about the Conyers Legislation being submitted are like the little boy that cried wolf. When it finally arrives can we believe it. All of these statements of the Conyers submittion get peoples hopes up only to be destroyed when he fails to back up his own press releases. All of these press release I hear or read state that this is the first Mold Legislation in Washington and we all know that is WRONG. According to Conyers staff, Mold legislation passed the House in 1998. Conyers has also had my Legislation for the last several months. Perhaps others have submitted Mold legislation to Washington as well. Instead of Press releases and media hype we need EFFECTIVE Toxic Mold Legislation. Is that too much to ask Congress for? FOr the past several months I have asked everybody, including Conyers staff, to send me a copy of his Legislation. All I ever get is his proposed wish list. Im other words there, in my opinion, has never been a legitimate Bill. If there is, why all the mystery? A Toxic Mold bill is not something to be kept secret like an issue dealing with National Security. I would like to know who is helping to " write " this legislation for Conyers. If it is done by his staff or Committee staff, it is our tax dollars that are paying for it and it is public information under the law. Guest guest
I just signed the POA petition, but highly resent the fact that no one considers those who have been injured in the workplace and not compensated at all. Why were we left out?
