Guest guest
I am presuming you have tried chiropractic. In 20+ years of practice, I have seen spinal adjustments alleviate some conditions that I would not have expected. It's usually been secondary to back pain but more and more people are seeking care for conditions that don't include the back pain. I would, of course, encourage you to work your way through Dr. 's protocol. Because the docs are right, eventually something will show up but then all you may be left with is the cut, burn, and poison regimen. My best to you and if you have any other questions, please ask! http://home.capecod.net/~drcrandall/index.html P.S. Your mentioning Mayo Clinic brings back memories of the journey that took me to becoming a chiropractor. My husband went there numerous times for debilitating low back pain (this was in the early 70's). Finally, one of the docs (after all the others had left and he shut the door) told him to " throw away the drugs and seek some other kind of health care " . Then he said he would deny saying this if we chose to tell anyone. Then he left!!!!! " Huh? " I said to my husband. I'd never heard of chiropractic even though we lived in Iowa where the Fountainhead of chiropractic(Palmer College of Chiropractic) is located. And he said, he must mean chiropractic. Thus began the classic story that so many tell through the years: we helped him limp into the chiropractor's office and for the first time in 5 years, he started getting better!!!!!! Thanks for the memories :-) Upper abdominal pain radiating back Hello, I am new to this site and am looking for some sort of direction. I am professional male 43 years of age and have been suffering from excrutiating upper abdominal pain that radiates straight back and to my lower abdomin. This began in March of 1999 and progressively became much worse. I have been to several doctors including those at the Mayo clinic. I have had in incredible number of tests performed including upper/lower endoscopies, colonoscopies, bowel tests, extensive heart and lung testing, ERCP's, numerous CT-Scans, x-rays, blood, urine and fecal tests. All along the doctors have suspected pancreatic cancer or some sort of pancreas disorder. Each test has left them baffled because they cannot uncover a root cause. I am seeing a pain medicatiuon specialist who has seen the hoorible pain first hand. I am currently on pain medication, but even that simply dulls the pain. On really bad days, it doesn't do much at all. They keep telling me to continue with the CT-Scans every 6 months because eventually something will show up. In the meantime, I have lost my job as a professional, my finances are drying up and I really do not know where to turn. Most of my days are spent laying down. This has gotten to be a very, very, depressing state, especially for my family. Has anyone experienced ANYTHING similar to this and what course of action did you follow. Before I had this horrible onset of constant pain, I was a very athletic, outgoing, active person. Any ideas where to even begin. Thank You, C. Hill acharles27@... Guest guest
Pain relief You can use the acupuncture point on the left side of the forehead as you will find a wee dent there just forward and up from the ear --if on the pulse move away a bit. Use two fingers of the left hand and the two fingers of the right hand on the site of the pain. If you cannot reach, get someone to put their left hand fingers on your left side of the forehead and their right hand two fingers on the pain. Hold for twenty seconds it works!!!! Alternatively use the Bowen move or NST in US --it is a forward and back movement ---about three centimetres-- move the skin over the body of the muscle, ligament or tendon and hold it a second or two then slide it back and you should feel a pop. Works all over the body. Use the bit between the finger and thumb which is the acupuncture point for headache and if you have a migraine do it 20 times and repeat every five minutes until you relax.
