Weekley, a well known builder in Texas wrote a book called " How to buy a home without being hammered " . I took a few minutes to read it. (Seriously it was not that long.) and found a quote that you may be interested in:

" There is no bar exam to become a homebuilder. You don't even need to own a

hammer, much less know how to use one.  When it comes to the greatest

investment of our lives it's caveat emptor -- let the buyer beware. "

-- Weekley " How to Buy a Home Without Being Hammered "

Buyer beware on the biggest purchase of your life. No place but Texas.

You can buy the book at Amazon.com.
