Hi Joanie,

I understand your concerns. I really perfer to get along with everyone, and

am usually for the underdog. I am on a few other lists where the arguing

really gets out of hand, with people being put on the defensive. Some people

delight in the contest of winning and the topic gets lost. I do feel bad when

this sort of thing happens. BTW, this picture say Hillsborough County. Is

this in Florida? That is really close to where we go each winter. We are

leaving Sunday.

yes, me too...

Woofie was treated like a castrating lobster (good one, chuck!) for speaking

her mind and expressing her views and observations, and while I do not know

her well enough to really understand her point of view (in other words, I

think many have jumped to unfounded conclusions about her) I found her good

humor to be very refreshing and

as Martha would say " a GOOD THING "

My basic point of view, if it must be reduced, is that a HEALER is a

HEALER...and the best tools can be misused in some hands, and the worst of

tools can be used to good use in others. My friend Louie used to say that

it ain't what goes into your mouth, it is what comes out. Perhaps Hulda

is the best of Healers. I am interested in knowing who she is.

Perhaps she uses the best of tools. Maybe not.

Maybe she just gets good results from the power of her personality,

channeled as a shaman would do. I have no idea, just expressing ideas.

It is just very hard to see much healing energy right now here, through this

veil of negative energy being aimed at people like woofie. It is draining.

I have raised 2 kids by myself. Single mom, home birth, all my own

doctoring, and I taught them to read and now calculus, too. I teach

alternative practitioners and others here about plants, on my own and

through University extension programs. The county forester takes notes when

i talk about medicinal plants growing wild locally.

Taking care of my post stroke father now, I have to deal with doctors as he

only allows me to chauffeur. The best healers of all, I have found are some

good patient and caring nurses who are open to learning new things...the

ability to connect is very important. There are zillions of things that are

wrong with the medical system, but I am not talking about that now.

I know some brilliant alternative practitioners too, but their presence

makes me uncomfortable, I can feel my being tensing up as I think of them.

I think Woofie is one of those people who would be a great healer, if she

were interested in that, because of her cheerfulness. Perhaps, like me, she

was here to learn some new healing tools and methods. I feel she was really

mistreated.

She was labeled as an enemy and treated with suspicion. What's the old

line,

" there but for fortune go i " ? Well, I guess I have never feared a hot seat;

my house has been burned down for my outspokenness, and still i do not shut

up.

I should learn to just write " me too " posts. Much easier. Joanie

Nope, this one not in Florida, but in southern New Hampshire..

The County Commissioners had a contest to pick the official flower about 12

years ago, and my entry won...thus I became the official flower woman, and

my kids the official flower children. The county commissioners were not

amused, though and cancelled the contests for the official bird and official

tree. My bird entry was for the pileated woodpecker..and they clearly were

afraid of what i would make of THAT name, if I were to win again... :-)

infiltrating this list. And yes, I am angry.

And I doubt that anything that I do could actually hamper the advancement of

alternative medicine, actually quite the contrary, as many of my friends and

neighbors have been brought health and happiness from my knowledge and caring

nature. I have seen many cured of many an illness with alternative means and

this- after their regular doctors had said there was nothing that could be

done. That is what I am all about, although you guys do bring out the worst

in everyone...Besides if an army of professional quackpots cannot silence the

alternative wave, then how possibly could I?

And FYI, I have a right to be angry. Quackpots seek out alternative lists and

the like and shame, abuse, defame, slander, liable, divert, confuse and

belittle innocent people simply because they don't want any more pills

crammed down their throats or because they want what is best for them. Simply

because they do not want to buy your product. If you want to claim that you

are innocent from these tactics, then perhaps you should talk with some of

the people that hawk the quackwatch site and use that name while abusing

healers... and read your last post. And if you want to claim that you are

here to " find out more " , I say bologna! Ha ha you funny gal!

BTW, Why do YOU feel the need to frequent this list, if you don't mind me

asking? In case you dont know, this is the Dr. list. Hellllloooooooooo.

There are some people here who believe in what they are doing and are

insulted by the constant disruptive posts posted by the quackpots.

Anger can be a good thing or a bad thing. It can drive you to get done what

needs to get done or it can paralyze you. I am not going to sit down and take

your abuse, nor will I keep silent, as you would have me to do. Instead, I

will fight with every breath and speak for those who are too ill or too

afraid. I will speak out against this atrocity, as I cannot tell my children

that I was one who walked away and let it happen. I love Hulda and what she

has done for my family.

In my country, when a person is abused by another, they should leave and call

the police. Your hunting and stalking of Hulda and other alternative healers

is not going unnoticed. If I were a quackpot, I would RUN as fast as I could

to the closest exit, lest you be ravished and trampled as you have done to

those before you.

I seriously doubt that I am doing more harm to alternative medicine than your

quackpot friends. I really do. So, you just keep telling yourself that. You

also are free to leave this list, if you so desire. Besides, I cannot wait

for a day when we are free to gather peaceably here. (?)
