Ben,

Some time ago I mentioned that Maca has helped me very

much. As a matter of fact, I hardly take thytrophin,

anymore. My temperature still goes up and down, but

my energy returned, my thinking is clearer, my hair is

thicker, I sleep better in general and I lost some

weight (I actually like my weight now!)

There are days, when too much stress, too much work or

not enough sleep make me feel a little worse and my

temperature goes down (but not below 97 and before I

started the Maca, it hardly went to 97). On days like

that I take thytrophin, but as soon as I have about

97.6, sometimes even 98.1, I stop the thytrophin again

and take only Maca 2 pills, four to six times a day.

I also take 1 to 2 drops of food-grade iodine daily.

I thought that I'd write about it again, because I

would have been very happy if I had known, how much

Maca can help. I suffered terribly, before I found

thytrophin and then Maca.

Good luck

Ingrid

I used to use glandulars from animals sporadically and generally

haven't had much success, but thought they were fine.

I am changing my opinion about it for 2 reasons:

1. My concern for the quality control over the animals. What are

they fed, what are they exposed to? Have they been tested for various

diseases on a regular basis?

2. What hormones does it really contain? Do they really know exactly

which ones and how much? And how are they able to ensure that the

amount is consistent from pill to pill?

For example, most people take adrenal glandulars in the hope they will

get the cortisol. The cortisol is produced in the cortex, the outer

layer of the adrenal gland. However, myself and others have wondered

if sometimes part of the medulla with the catecholamines (adrenaline,

etc.) gets mixed up in there because we would get what felt like

adrenaline surges when taking it, unlike how we felt when taking just

hydrocortisone, which is pure cortisol.

A whole adrenal glandular would naturally contain both cortisol, the

catecholamines, and everything else the adrenal gland produces.

So there are a lot of unknowns with this stuff, and after trying

various ones over the years, I just stay clear of them now. But if

it's working well for someone, I say go for it.
