Does anyone know of any powdered drink mix to get the properties of veggies,

alkalanizing, etc. that does not contain barley? I am currently going through a

detox and this would be a great supplement to add, but I am allergic to barley

and most of them that I have looked at contain barley. Do all of these type

drinks contain barley? If not, is there one that does not?

Thanks,

Deborah

I have to respectfully suggest that anything that has been 'Powdered " is

probably devoid of nutrition.  Reducing any food substance to a powder is

nothing more than processing of that food.  Juicing and then placing in an

aluminum can or bottle or otherwise storing in a container for later sales is

also a great way to negate nutritional values.   Generally it takes only

about 20 minutes for the nutritional values to dissipate after juicing.

Regarding alkalinity, juice alkaline forming vegetables and the important

alkalizing fruits [lemons and limes] yourself and drink them quickly after the

juicing process; do not leave to drink later.   Troublesome?  yes, but

effective.

I have pureed organic lemons [YES! the whole lemon] to make an alkalizing drink

that is truly Nutritious and very alkalizing as well.  However, it will be a

bit difficult for those addicted to sugar to consume!

Have you given any thought to Wheat Grass and Rejuvelac?  Anyone whose system

needs de-toxing is a good candidate for total absence of Friendly Intestinal

Flora with the colon being the most vulnerable.  Rejuvelac can often

recondition the worst colon in one application.

If you get truly De-toxed and divest yourself of the parasites [that are

probably] in your system, you may just find that your sensitivity to Barley goes

away.  I've had this experience with clients that have so called Celiac

Disease.

Allergies to barley grain does not preclude drinking the juice of the leaves

before the grain appears. A similar thing holds true for alfalfa as well: the

juice does not contain the allergic factors that may be present in the seeds.

Blessings!

check out berry green on its manufacturer's website New Chapter

http://www.newchapter.com/product-categories/superfood-greens

" No Grass Fillers

Most other “greens” supplements use grass as a nutrient. That’s fine for

cows, we suppose, but not for humans. We never use grass as a nutrient or

“filler” and we never will. We prefer organic greens and veggies and we

think your body will, too. "

i can't afford the powder right now, so I'll be taking the gel caps, I've

liked the product. I honestly don't know how it compares to others. I like

that it's made from organic whole foods. Hope this is helps.
