Why not drink water from a stream?

Lucky for me, it seems my town's tap water does not use laundry-grade

bleach. Although, I would rather not drink the other stuff in it

either. I am thinking about drinking from a rural stream, assuming

there is nothing unnatural in the water (I would test it first). I

could pump it into bottles, and ozonate it, and also add Lugol's

iodine. Does anyone have any thoughts/ideas? Thanks.

I would want to make sure that no critters...

peed or poooped in the water upstream
