Guest guest
> I don't find this issue fully related to ES (except as a part of a > general irritability possibly underlying ES), but it's not me who started :-). Some people blame root canals on impairing their immune system due to possible low-level infections at the root canal. So, if one thinks of ES as being an immune system problem, then root canals could be a contributing factor. Marc

I don't have the data points to comment on an immune system source for ES, but I do know that some of the symptoms I associate with ES (particularly tinnitus and nerve pain) are worse for inflammation, which of course is immune-related. So there could be a correlative relationship if not causal. The two primary sources of inflammation for me are synthetic chemicals, especially those derived from petroleum -- which unfortunately includes the ubiquitous 'parfum' and 'fragrance' -- and weather changes. So Scotland is fine for me, but only if I can avoid the chems. Emma
Guest guest
Dear Debby, Dentist perscribe antibiotics to cover themselves, just like doctors do. There is no antibiotic drug that helps avoid infection like natural products do! I had the last 12 of my teeth pulled under general anesthetic when I got dentures and didn't take any pain killers or antibiotics. I took 100,000 IUs of vitamin A (with the complement of vitamin D) contained in halibut liver oil capsules, 4,000 mgs. of vitamin C and my other usual supplements daily. When I went back a week later my dentist was amazed at how fast I healed. If you want insurance, in addition to taking what I did, also drink 4 cups of garlic tea per day and take 2 drops of oil of oregano or clove oil in water or oil up to 10 times per day. You can take extra cod liver oil instead of halibut liver oil capsules - 4 tablespoons per day in split doses for a week or 10 days. Guest guest
I've had several root canals in the past and not once did my dentist advise me to take antibiotics as a preventative measure. My mouth always healed without any problems. Take Care. Guest guest
Thanks, this makes me feel so much better. I do not want to take antibiotics, and doctors keep trying to give them to me, and then they scare me and make me freak out! My tooth is very tender today.. how long does that last? Thanks Bee, I will do this. I try not to be scared but these doctors/dentists are always trying to use scare tactics on me and always pushing antibiotics on me. It's very frustrating, especially when I am very vulnerable because I am sick with a cold or flu, or full of dental drugs like I was last night. Guest guest
I don't take antibiotics for prevention. If my dentist or doctor tells me to take antibiotics to prevent infections I just say okay but don't take them. He's happy and I'm happy. But I do take extra Vitamin C. It shouldn't last more than 3 days. You can mix ocean sea salt in warm water - make it highly concentrated (can't remember how much, maybe 1/2 tsp. in 4 ounces) - hold a mouthful for up to 2 minutes swishing it around well between your teeth - do this 3-4 times a day for 3 days. Or mix 3% hydrogen peroxide in warm water (half and half) and do the same thing. I hope that helps. Bee
Guest guest
Hi Debby, I had two root canals done simultaneously and did not take any anti-biotics and had no problems what-so-ever. Guest guest
Thanks Shirley, I'm feeling much more calm now. Luckily I have good dental insurance that covers 80% of all of this. I still have four cavities I have to fill and all four wisdom teeth need to be pulled. Guest guest
I just had one. the nerve can die with/without infection. Enough trauma over the years the nerve dies. once you get the root canal, then electrifying the teeth like we have done here might help control any residual infection. nobody argues with the mechanical effectiveness of root canals, it seems to be just the later infections that seems to get their concerns going. so, why worry about it,,just electrify it from time to time to limit any bacteria in the teeth? seems ok to me, but not a doctor or dentist, just voicing my opinion here...your dentist can tell you the whole story. An endodontist is even more informative in that regard. bG > > Greetings! > > I just found out that I need a root canal and of course I am looking > to avoid the surgery. Guest guest
I had a root canal done over a year ago, and found out that inside the hollowed teeth, there could be infection despite the assurance of my dentist. Now I realize that root canal is NOT a good thing to have because no matter how tight the seal is, bacteria will always leaked into the cavity and hide there, generating toxin for the body. I have used my mag pulser to halt the infection successfully, but I have to keep on doing that periodically. I think this is another example where " modern tech " turns out to be another curse for our health. It would be much better healing the teeth than doing the root canal by placing a small current (Beck protocol) across the tooth, and stay away from acidic foods (sugar, soda, coffee, etc.) Goggle with baking soda water should help. > > Greetings! > > Just found out that I might need surgery on a root canal. Guest guest
I think having the tooth pulled would be better, but people are different. If you tooth is THAT bad, I dont think anything esle would be in order except a root canal or pulled....good luck.. R > > Greetings! > > Just found out that I might need surgery on a root canal. Guest guest
that's what i'd do. sooner or later you will need the dentist because an infection means a break in the defensive walls. remember, though, Dick put off his 1500 " spa appointment " for a couple of years using godzilla. So he had time to cut some lawns and deliver some papers to save up for it rather than get hit in retirement with sudden drain of cash. Some day there will be a dental cruise with all the care you need on one big boat, and instead of just an office with old magazines, you get sea breezes and gourmet, uh, soup. Cheap cuisine, no steaks, because you can't chew. People nice and quiet on the cruise due to novocaine...hey, nice! Where do I sign up? bG > > > > > An update on my #13 tooth that I have been treating with a baby > Godzilla for some years. It flared up again, and the dentist said it > was a failed root canal. I wish you had asked about root canals, since they aren't recommended. However, you can use natural antibiotics instead of antibiotic drugs, and natural pain killers too. Dentists and doctors scare us by making us think if we have an infection it is so horrible, when it is not. An infection is simply inflammation and swelling caused by the body sending more healing blood to the area, along with immune system substances to help healing. If those reactions are suppressed with drugs your body won't heal properly, and you'll have more problems that may be worse later on. I never recommend colloidal silver be taken for any reason. Silver is only required in " trace " amounts by the body and taking more will throw off minerals balances in the body. Also silver can accumulate in the body and cause poisoning - see this article: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/mn7.php I suggest you apply the treatments listed in this article on Mouth Thrush (not the nystatin of course), which are natural antibiotics. Also take White Willow Bark for pain - buy it in capsules at your health store and take it according to the label: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/treat18.php The best, Bee
