Guest guest
I was put on these drugs because I was so stressed out and nervous, I had to vomit all day long what looked like radiator fluid, and I felt like I was going into shock, my face and chest would get all tingling sensation and bloatchy, very pale as if all the blood was drained out, and my hands would clench up with my thumb and fingers straight out (not a balled up fist) so I went to the emergency room and had gallbladder surgery, after the surgery my expert medical team said " no gall stones " " must be stress " I was like " no shit " and was put on effexor at first, my symptoms got worse, so I was put on some other SSRI and got even more worse, then put on some other kind of SSRI and because I was sooooo extremely exhausted all of the time psychotropics were added, which made me so paranoid I was convinced I really was insane just like they told me I was. I couldnt even string a sentence together, and the cab driver got a real good chuckle the time I couldnt remember where I lived, I became so petrified I could not go out in public, it was much too frightening for me, and the side effect of massive weight gain really really really did not help my self esteem at all, the weight gain made me so depressed there is not a way for me to convey the EXTREME humiliation I felt, I used to be a cocktail waitress for thirteen years, I used to love to go out and be seen before I was medicated, I quit cold turkey because I didnt know any better, by the time I found this board and Creel I couldnt go back and do it all over, just couldnt. I didnt get depressed until after the vast wake of personal devastation that these drugs caused, and all of that can NEVER be put right Re: Bones In a message dated 4/8/2007 5:16:25 AM Pacific Standard Time, SSRI medications writes: Hey DAvid & TONY this is LARRY from Arkansas it's good to know there are medical professionals in this group. I suffer from depression & panic attacks. Hospitalized 4 times in the past year. And how much of your problems are attributable to the treatment you are getting. Guest guest
Kate, I'm nearly twenty two and have been told I have osteopenia. Found out a few months ago actually. My RD recommended I start taking Boniva or some other osteoporosis drug. But as I'm more reserved, I just stick to Viactiv and calcium supplements. I haven't had another scan to say if it's working, but it's better than I was I suppose. : ) I don't want to be crippled and cracked Shoulders, wrists, knees and back Ground to dust and ash Crawling on all fours When you've got to feel it in your bones - 'Bones' Radiohead
Guest guest
Hi Kate I take a drug called Bonviva which I take once a month for bone density, I don't know if you have heard of it. The only thing I haven't had a density test to see what difference it has made I just take it as a precaution medicine. Might be worth discussing it with your doctor. Best wishes Joan U.K.
Guest guest
I have a shoe bag that I put all my drugs in and take them all at once with my Vit D, Calcium, and Vit C in the morning... if they are all together, I remember to take them, I find. Maybe that would help? I'd be nervous if I were taking prednisone that long too, although I'd bet you're at a lower dose.
