Guest guest
Post: Latest Information on Killing Anthrax Spores Posted by Dr. Lipsey, Toxicologist on 6/24/02 The very latest information on killing Anthrax spores comes out of the lab of former colleagues of mine at the University of Florida/USDA from Dr. Rudolf Scheffrahn. Even though the pesticide, methyl bromide, a fumigant is being phased out by EPA in 2005, it will still Anthrax spores with no harm to the furniture, carpeting, etc. The only alternative is chlorine dioxide which is corrosive, unstable and may damage electronics, fabrics, etc., and the cost for using methyl bromide as a fumigant for Anthrax is one-fourth the cost of the alternative.
