Guest guest
http://www.gillettenewsrecord.com/display/inn_news/news3.txt Local News - Gillette, Wyoming Saturday, July 27, 2002 Public Health again afflicted with mold County officials are waiting for an insurance company to pay for the cleanup of the latest outbreak of mold at the Public Health building alongside 4J Road. Public Health has moved its operations to the Amos Building, next to the County Courthouse, indefinitely, waiting for word from Hartford Insurance to pay for the cleanup, County Engineer Matt Zahn said. Operations moved to the Amos Building on May 12. It has been able to provide full services this time because they have more space than from the last move. This is the second time Public Health has moved because of mold in their building. The agency was relocated to the Amos Building April 26 to May 15, 2001, when mold was found in the building's crawl space. Officials detected the mold after workers complained of a gas smell in the building. The crawl space was cleaned and dried, all the carpet and furniture was washed and disinfected. A sump pump, exhaust fans and a new duct system was installed. But officials apparently missed mold that was inside the walls. " It wasn't totally cleared out last time and it just reactivated again. This time we'll clear out every trace, " Zahn said. The Public Health phone number remains the same, 682-7275.
