Guest guest
a and everyone, NSF bleach is food-grade bleach; chlorox-type bleach is laundry bleach. NSF-rated (or certified) bleach is safe to use in sanitizing water, and is the only liquid bleach that should be used by municipal water providers. According to Hulda, chlorox-type laundry bleach is NOT SAFE to be used for ANY application, because it is loaded with toxins. First, a CORRECTION to the answer given to " What is NSF bleach ? " NSF is National Sanitation Foundation, NOT National Standards Foundation. Refer to pages 54 and 339 of Hulda's new " Cure and Prevention ... " book. I have been checking into this. On page 54, Hulda states the following: " ..... which bleach has the EPA registration number and the NSF stamp to legalize its use in drinking water, and where to buy it. " On page 64, she states: " Legitimate food-grade bleach, the kind stamped with the NSF mark and given a registration number, has none of the dozen toxins ........ " If you read the fine print on a bottle of regular Chlorox laundry bleach, you will observe that there is an EPA registration number. However, there is no NSF stamp. I believe that Hulda meant, on page 54, to say NSF registration number, rather than EPA registration number, as is somewhat implied in the quote above on page 64. Regarding your question on NSF-certified bleach being available in stores, Hulda states on page 73, " Recently, NSF bleaches have reached the supermarkets (see Sources), not just the pool stores. " Here is what is stated in Chapter 24, Sources. Item: Bleach, USP (NSF), also see Dental Bleach Source: Smart and Final, Wal-Mart, Target and others; Colgate- Palmolive; Arctic White; Hilex; Javex Note: Smart and Final is membership-type store in Calif. like Sam's Club. Note: I checked local pool store, and they did not have NSF bleach in a liquid form; the granular form they did have had no NSF stamp on it. I was told the liquid form is not used anymore, because of safety concerns. I have not yet checked Wal-Mart or Target or others. Has anyone found a bleach product at these stores with the NSF stamp, and NSF registration number ? I plan to check out Target, etc. soon, and will report what I find. Bob Rowe > 2b.
