Guest guest
Hope everybody had a great Christmas! Mine was good. I picked up my son and took him to Milwaukee to see my mom and my ex's mom, where he picked up lots of loot. We came back to Green Bay and celebrated with my wife's son & daughter-in-law. They were in from Boise, my son is crazy about his step-brother. My son is 12 and his step-brother is 29 (my wife started her family a bit earlier than I did Anyway, it was fun, but now it's back to work. Being Friday makes that a lot easier to take, though.... -dz- __________________________________________________
Guest guest
By the way, we did get our white Christmas. They say this was the 3rd time in 100 years that we have been without measurable snow this late in the year. I suppose we'll make up for it later... -dz- --- Jannewilms42@... wrote: > Merry Christmas!!!! > __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Hey Dennis Great work with the vacuum cleaner. Keep it up. Happy holiday to you and your family. Norma Happy Holidays -- [ ] Merry Christmas Merry Christmas Everyone We're having rain here in Southern New Hampshire, which is ok by me since I won't have to go in to plow - like if it was the white stuff. I'm really glad when I don't have to call the guys in to plow over the holidays. I've been extending my wood shop and enjoying it except for I got tendonitis in my hammer hand wrist - lot of work. Luckily I got a nail gun from work and have a compressor. Also my son and I are building a wood splitter (I bought the parts & he is doing the welding & assembly) - I never realized how expensive hydraulic lines are. And for you gals, so this won't be a one sided account, I fixed the vacuum cleaner motor today and vacuumed the rugs. I'm also making shrimp cocktail for this evening. And - I'm thinking of making fancy bread in the machine for the morning! Wishing you all a happy holiday time. We should take joy in the fact that we are all here and in such a friendly and caring family. Dennis from NH

Guest guest
Yeah, we've been looking up at 0 for several days. We've finally broke it yesterday, (Monday). Though we got missed by the big blizzard that hit my sisters in Ohio. They got from 15 to 20 inches of snow and many lost power. I've been kind of wondering if Terry really wants to come back up here... I've been thinking Arizona sounds pretty good, right now. -dz- At 07:31 AM 12/25/2004, you wrote: Merry Christmas Everyone! Guest guest
No snow here. That was a bummer. My son called from Pearland all excited, they got about 7". Not a flake dropped here. Are you doing tx right now? I started 10 weeks ago. Not an easy feat here, but I'm hanging in there. Doc wanted to lower dosage at one time and my hemo came back up to 11.2 and it's been hanging in there. I'm glad because once I've started I want to keep on going till I'm done. Guest guest
We came through southwest Tx & saw a little snow but not like southwest Tx and nothing like Oh. Saw temps in the low teens in the mornings. Had frost on the car window Christmas morning. Wouldn't you know it, we didn't have a scraper in the car. Had to let the car warm up to melt the heavy layer of frost. Yes I would love to move back here. But I have listened to some advise about quiting my job & moving back here hoping to find a job. For now I'm going with the advise & will stay in Az at least for now. But we are still tempted to make the big move. So maybe down the road. Guest guest
I fell behind on the snowfall. No gas left for the snowblower, I guess I planned well for the lawnmowing season. Anyway I shoveled twice the morning (actually still during) of our snowstorm, and a little more piled up during the day, the plow nailed us, and I was too tired to shovel anymore. My back can't take it. 20 below temps and it was a few days before I got gas for the snowblower and fired it up. By that time the snow was so packed down there was a limited amount of improvement I could accomplish with the snowblower. It's 24 degrees right now, and if we get a little bit of a thaw over the holiday weekend, I may be able to catch back up. Didn't get on much over Christmas, I hope everybody had a good Christmas, good fellowship and a good outlook for the new year. I want to thank you all for being here for me and with me. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you, I know we have our share of demons and hardships to overcome. -dz- At 07:44 PM 12/28/2004, you wrote: Houston is good, snow is gone and the temps are climbing. Guest guest
I love the country life. I lived in Door County (the thumb of Wisconsin) for several years while I worked in the shipyard. I lived in the town of Egg Harbor, population 188. The county seat, Sturgeon Bay, where I worked was under 10,000. I loved it. Unfortunately, in my line of work, I was a shipfitter (or set-up welder) and am now a computer programmer, I seem to need a larger city to find suitable employment. I grew up in Milwaukee, lived in Denver and New Orleans. I found a good compromise for myself in Green Bay, WI (pop 100,000). I'm right at the base of Door County to the northeast and to the northwest is t National Forest and the UP, where our friend Bob hails from. -dz- At 08:20 PM 12/28/2004, you wrote: Hi Sharon, Saw your email about Houston. Guest guest
My favorite climate was Denver. We used to get all the snow we wanted and more often than not, it would melt in a few days. Here the snow pretty well sticks around from now until April. I love a good snowstorm. -dz- At 09:54 PM 12/28/2004, you wrote: No snow here. That was a bummer. Guest guest
Sounds like a good plan, Terry. My brother was let go in a " downsizing " after 23 years of service to his company. He was in sales and running a LAN (local area network). He was without suitable work for over a year. He has ended up in sales, which he says he likes, but I don't know if he's putting the best face on it or not. He and I both being computer geeks, I find it hard to imagine that he doesn't miss running the network. He is now in a 100% commissions situation, no paid vacation, etc. Theoretically things are a little better now, but I'd still be careful about having another job before I left one. -dz- At 10:10 PM 12/28/2004, you wrote: We came through southwest Tx & saw a little snow but not like southwest Tx and nothing like Oh. Guest guest
I remember driving from Denver to New Orleans one year, back roads because we didn't have tags (had sent in for Wisconsin tags) and they had what must have been the biggest blizzard many of them ever saw. We cut across Texas from the northwest to the southeast and were halfway through before we got out of the blizzard conditions. Those people did not know how to act driving in the snow!! They didn't have any plows to speak of, so it was a real mess. -dz- At 10:10 PM 12/28/2004, you wrote: >We came through southwest Tx & saw a little snow but not like southwest >Tx and nothing like Oh. I've been kind of wondering if Terry really wants to come back up here... I've been thinking Arizona sounds pretty good, right now. -dz-At 07:31 AM 12/25/2004, you wrote: Merry Christmas Everyone! We have six inches of snow and it is 0degrees. I know...not as cold as the UP in Michigan or Wisconsin, butpretty darn chilly for Indiana. The snow is beautiful! It doesn't haveto snow for the rest of the winter now. RIGHT!! I hope Santa was kind to everyone. Hugs,Barbara
Guest guest
Thanks and hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas. In England we had our first white Christmas in many years even if it was only about 4 " :-)) We even made a snowman :-)) Yo ho ho Sue X > Merry Christmas from Kingston, NH. Santa is finishing up some presents in the shop but he had to come in for pizza. No snow here and that's ok with me. Guest guest
Four inches is just about perfect. Enough, as you found, to build a snowman and play in the snow a bit, but not so much that the highways and byways become parking lots!! Glad you enjoyed it. -dz- At 07:58 AM 12/30/2004, you wrote: Thanks and hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas. Guest guest
Hi Hope you had a good one too...we don't really get snow at all where we live on a small island as the salty sea air seems to melt it before it sticks, so it was such a magical sight for us on Christmas Day when we were on the mainland The roads had not been 'gritted' tho so there were a few problems with cars but by the 27th all the snow had gone :-( It was nice while it lasted )) HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE Sue > > > Merry Christmas from Kingston, NH.
