Shade Seeker,

I know this may sound silly, but in the past I have had the dentist tell me

on two separate occassions that I needed a root canal (on two different

teeth) and instead I went home and started applying olive oil to the tooth

eight or ten times a day -- just kinda dipping my finger in the olive oil til

it was saturated, and then using my finger to apply the oil all over the

tooth. I guess it would work just as well to take a teaspoon full of olive

oil and simply swish the oil over the affected tooth, and hold it there.

Anyway, the first time this happened I went back to the dentist after

applying the olive oil for a few days, and asked him to x-ray the tooth a

second time. The new x-ray showed no infection whatsoever. He asked me what

I had done, and I told him that I annointed the tooth with olive oil, like it

says to do when you are sick, in the Bible. He said, " Well, we all need a

little more of that, I guess " and just shook his head and apologised to me

for " mis-reading " my first set of x-rays. I reminded him that the tooth had

been causing me a lot of pain, and that now the pain was gone. He felt

better that he had not " mis-read " the xrays, but was at a loss to explain the

" spontaneous healing " of my root infection. Second time the same thing

happened, except that I never bothered to go back to him after the initial

x-ray confirming the need for a root canal. I just kept applying olive oil

for a few days, and the pain finally stopped. Haven't had a problem since.

If you can tolerate the olive oil, it might be worth trying. Who knows?
