Guest guest
Check weather.com for the dew points in your area. With dew points of +70^F, moisture is condensing on cool surfaces below 70^F. Moisture is condensing in crawlspaces, basements, and in walls from Texas- Maine just from them moisture in the air. Plus three days of high dew points grows mold on all these surfaces. If you are concerned about preventing mold growth, keep the relative humidity below 50%- 60% in these parts of your home. Most of us would rather not concern ourselves about prevention of mold growth, but rather find someone to blame after the mold has forced us from our homes. An once of prevention prevents a ton mold growth. Get those dehumidifiers running!
