I would suggest that the carbon rods always be wrapped with paper towel to

prevent the possibility of microscopic filaments of carbon fiber becoming

embedded in the skin. It is virtually impossible to make carbon fiber tube that

does not expose these sharp little carbon needles at the surface.  Other than

that, they really do work well, and will not corrode.
