Guest guest
Kathy I have suffered with hemorrhoids for many years, sometimes they bleed. I saw a specialist last month, and had a couple of them banded. The doctor discovered i had quiet a few, and have to go back this week to see him about them. They open the rectum with an instrument and place an elastic bands around the hemorrhoid, over a period of six weeks the band and starved hemorrhoid falls away, it is uncomfortable but not painful. I was told not to take aspirin six weeks before the procedure. I think liver disease has something to do with the reason for hemorrhoids forming. See your doctor they can be fixed without surgery. Let me know how you go. Have a good day AIH
Guest guest
Kathy, There are some excellent prescription meds for hemmorhoids. Bob used one of the creams before he finally had to have surgery. He's never had a problem since, by the way. Back in the days when I was having babies I used to have problems for it apparently was a condition that resolved itself. Lucky me! I don't envy you. Take care, Geri
Guest guest
I read a few years ago that the best thing for hemorhoids according to medical authoritys is just sitting in a hot tub. Better than Anusol or the other over the counter cream. Aveno a non prescription powder can be added to the water. It is good for skin problems as well. All Aveno is is powdered oatmeal so it is harmless. (Could probably make your own by putting dry oatmeal in a blender. ) Don't want to clog up your tub drain however. I think a hot sitzbath alone does the job of relieving the discomfort of hemorhoids. Guest guest
, Could you give a little more information about how cayenne is used for stopping bleeding? thanks, rachel~ I'll sneak a thought in here. And wait for 's answer about the Hemorrhoids. Anyway when we were building our cabin my husband fell off the roof and hit his head on a rock. We are in the middle of nowhere. He could have used a few stitches, but I washed it out, poured some cayenne in the wound and it stopped the bleeding. I had to clean it out again every day, but the bleeding was stopped and the wound healed. I've heard of kids shooting eachother (one in the stomach), and the kids life was saved because a neighbor grabbed the cayenne and poured some in a glass of water and made the kid drink it. He did n't bleed to death. Pretty amazing stuff! of Dewberry Hill " People are like stain glass windows; they sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is alight within. Guest guest
I have a lady on one of my other lists who said she was in Utah, I believe when this shooting happened. She said it was incredible. I forget where she worked, but she said she personally witnessed this in the hospital I believe. ~Karma http://loaves-n-fishes.com > I'll sneak a thought in here. Guest guest
Dear Hemorrhoids could have a number of causes, i.e. constipation and/or the integrity of the lining of the anus or rectum, or even varicose vein problems, etc. I do not know whether coffee or reactions to foods can cause it, but I am doubtful. Coconut oil helps them. Bee > Bee, > Thanks for your last and very in depth, thoughtful response about > Threelac. Guest guest
Bee, Thanks for your reply. I'll try coconut oil. I just emailed Whole Foods to see if they sell it. I'm in the Chicago area and just found out that Mercola is nearby. I have an appointment with his partner Dr. Go soon. Do you think they'll be helpful with candida problems? They are incredibly in depth in their approach, that's for sure. Lastly, do you think inulin is good to take? I sounds like it would be. Thank you!!! > > Bee, > > Thanks for your last and very in depth, thoughtful response about > > Threelac. Guest guest
Hi Pat B, You can use coconut oil topically as well as internally. I use it as a moisturizer on my face, I put it on skin blemishes or cuts, and I have intermittant vaginal and rectal itching so I use it both places to alleviate itch. Besides being an anti-fungal it has anti-bacterial properties as well....so it's good for just about anything! Slather it on, it will help heal your hemorroids. jackie > > Last week I was constipated (believe too much calcium) and developed > hemorroids particularly after a coffee enema. > searching the messages I didn't find much about that other than > coconut oil.
