I am going thru a workmans comp claim. Get the report. I have one from a year ago. I just got it thru a union rep. It states Stachy and Aspergillus and every mold and fungal I showed up allergic to. I now have the sasthma and horrible sinuses also. Mine is from a federal Inst. But get all the documentation that you can. I am thinking of vcalling OSHA. I decided my life was worth more then what people would think 0of me at work. Do you have a union?

i was referred by a friend who used to work in the same sick building

that i do. i've had a multitude of problems which i'm certain are the

result of the building i work in;in the pst year i've developed

asthma, have constant sinus problems, headaches and burning eyes to

name a few.

my friend brought this to the attention of the big bosses and

requested some remediation(they replaced carpets and moldy walls in

the resrooms)problems still continue, but they claim they have had

the building assesed by a " specialist " and they are within normal

limits, but when i asked for a copy of the report, i wass told i had

better think twice before i requested this. my friend who brought the

mold to their attention is no longer employed here.

i have seen an allergist and have moderate sensitivity to several

molds and fungus, but when i asked how i could be tested for exposure

or allergic reation to stachybotrys, i was told there was no such test

as it is a toxin and not an allergen.

so my questions are, are there any tests that could help to prove that

the conditions i have(and didn't have previously)are due to the work

environment;also would anyone know of any doctors in florida, speci-

fically the sarasota area that have dealt with toxic mold, and also

is there anything i can do to get the company to admit there is a

problem and remediate, without me losing my job?? any suggestions

would be greatly appreciated. kathradar@...
