Hi- New here. Another horrible story

Hi- I have an 18 year old daughter that is epileptic. 10 weeks ago

she moved into a garden apartment. Within a few days was sick. First

hospitalization within 2 weeks. She is now out of there. But I search

for answers.

She has had:

1)watery eyes, blurred vision, redened, itchy.

2)headachs,dizziness,concentration problems

3)Stomach achs, nausia & vomitting (alot)

4)Sore joints, bruises easily, excessive bleeding

5)increased seizure activity.

6)Breathing difficulties, coughing, gasping for air.

She has been hospitalized several times & has been diagnosed with:

Asthma

Bronchitis

Pneumonia

infection (abcess) in her breast that had to be surgurically removed.

She has been on countless antibiotics, a steroid inhaler & pill form

steroids. NOTHING helps. She is still throwing up. She has lost 15

LBs in the last 2 weeks. None of the doctors seem to believe us &

blow off our theories.

We were suspicious of mold problems after the second hospitalization,

when her 3 room mates were all sick- but not as bad as her. One room

mate went into such a depression that she cut her wrist. (she is OK

now- in a mental hospital- but OK)The others are still there. Dealing

with headachs & want to sleep ALL the time. THEY have no choice. They

can't leave.

We sent a letter to the landlord. No response.

We sent another one certified. No response.

Her room mates cornered the landlord in the parking lot & told him

their suspicions. He promised to bring in an investigator. The

investigator was nothing more than a general contractor. Who told

them- can't see it- it's not there. If you can see it- clean it up.

He put in a huge vent fan in the bathroom & a new air conditioner.

The one area that you can SEE visable mold, he told the landlord to

seal it up in the wall. It would go away.

We did a mold test & had HORRIBLE results. We sent them off to the

lab. Waiting for results. We started to investigate & found several

instances of where mold problems had been intentionally covered up.

All new carpeting installed, new drywall that had been put up over

old drywall. Evidence of pieces of old moldy wood that was left

behind, & cracks in the foundation that show that he knew he had

leaks. He smeared them with sealer above ground- (But what about

below ground level???) Gutter drains from the roof that drain into a

large indentation at the corner of the building & sit in a puddle

until they slowly leak into the building thru the cracks.

6 months ago- The house directly next to my daughters apartment, was

completely gutted for mold contamination. The huge dumpster used was

sitting right next to their building. The reports from the neighbors

say that rotted wood was just thrown in there. It was there for many

weeks during one of the rainiest springs that we have had in a long

time.

At this point- I am MAD. He lied. I really want to take him to court

to make him pay. He knew about this. He also KNEW my daughter was

epileptic. She has had to quit her job & drop out of college. She is

heartbroken & really sick. She can leave- But what is to stop him

from renting this out to other kids & ruining their health too?

After reading all of this- (believe me- I left out alot of details)

What do you think?

What should I do?????

Any advice?

Any suggestions?
