The more people who respond, the more believable it will be for those who are skeptical. Thanks! Guest guest
Look at my web site for information germane to your problem. Today, I am about 95% recovered from my exposure. I think I’ll wind up with a diminution in my lung capacity of 10- 15%. If, I had realized sooner what the web site explains, I know the speed of my recovery would have been more rapid and the degree more complete. www.stachy.5u.com ph P. The report aired on Thursday, June 28, 2002. During the past 48 hours my life has changed dramatically. Let me freely admit that I have heard claims of "sick building syndrome" and dismissed them as false or over-exaggerated. Have I ever learned a lesson! My health symptoms since moving into my apartment in Cambridge, Massachusetts match those of an individual exposed to toxic mold. During the past 21 months I have experienced seemingly bizarre symptoms, including: asthmatic symptoms; extreme fatigue; night sweats; joint pain; severe headaches; and, most disturbing, memory loss. For nearly two years, I have attributed these symptoms to myriad sources. I have not been able to work and I feel that I have lost so much time. If only I had known about the dangers of toxic mold... After hearing the news report Thursday, I have seen my doctor, conducted research, made plans to move, and begun investigating for mold. To my great alarm, I have just discovered what I believe to be the source of mold poisoning. After buying several mold testing kits, I embarked on a search of my apartment. I had a strong sense that the genesis of trouble was in my bedroom. Just now I have discovered that behind the radiator in my bedroom is what appears to be a "trap door" -- a part of the wall that is attached via screws and behind it is a menagerie of pipes. Covering the pipes and the entire space is a pungent black mold. It will take some time before I know the extent and type of the mold present. In the interim, I feel a tremendous sense of relief and sadness -- how could I have not known what was going on? Several years ago I actually met a family who had firsthand experience with toxic mold. Further, my best friend from college works with Harvard Public Health studying these types of issues. How could I have not known? I write to thank each of you in this group. I write to let you know what a difference the existence of this group has made. After finding this group I realized that I am not alone in this fight. I am now testing the air for mold and already every sample has turned up positive. I do not think that I would have had the courage to pursue this without the resources found on the Internet, including this group.
